What is the Parkwood Residents Association (PRA) Listserv? The PRA Listserv (e-mail group) is an e-mail forum set up for discussing community news and events. You can post a message for all other group members to read and respond to and you'll receive messages posted by others. A listserv is also known as an e-mail group. The PRA Listserv is set up in Yahoo Groups.
Who can join? The listserv is open to all residents of the Parkwood subdivision who have an e-mail address.
How do I start?
| To subscribe to the listserv (e-mail group), send a blank message to: parkwoodresidents-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Do not write anything in the subject or body of the message. You will receive an automated confirmation message when you are subscribed. Be sure to send the email from the address where you want the listserv emails to go. |
Once subscribed, you can post a message to the group by sending the message to parkwoodresidents@yahoogroups.com, or by replying to another message.
Subscription to and participation in the listserv are free. You can cancel at any time, by sending an email to parkwoodresidents-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
If you want to read the message history or use any of the features of Yahoo Groups, in addition to sending the message above, you'll need to set up a Yahoo Groups ID. Go to www.groups.yahoo.com to see other Yahoo Groups and to set up an ID.
I provided my e-mail address when I filled out the survey and paid my dues. Do I need to do anything else to join the group? You need to subscribe - see above.
Will I get a lot of e-mail messages from the group? The activity on the group is moderate, as listservs go. Typically there are a few messages posted each day.
If you prefer, you can modify your subscription to digest mode. Then you get one email a day, containing a digest of all the emails that were sent that day. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/parkwoodresidents and click on Edit membership. You have to subscribe first, before you do this.
